Top 5 Reasons Why Employers Do Not Hire Jobseekers.
1. POOR WRITTEN RESUMES
As a professional Virtual Recruiter we have read thousands of resumes and we find more than half of them submitted to us are poorly written. There are numerous grammatical errors, improper English related to bad grammar, misspelled words and so much more. When an employer sees that you can not write a simple resume profile history about yourself there is no need to move any further.
2. EMAIL ADDRESS
Yes, your professional email address reflects what your thoughts are as a person or tells about yourself in a few short words or less that the employer is searching for.
Here are some terrible email addresses that have been submitted to us in the past however for our privacy policy we will not display the full email. Examples: redneckbill@, hotsexymama@, domebaby@, hotsexbob@, partyallnightchick@ these are just a few erotic emails. Then we get into the religious emails which is fine but you don’t need to use your religion in your email address to apply for professional jobs such as praisegoddaily@, iliveforhimsarah@, ilovegod@, etc.
The best thing to do is create a simple email address just for job searching purposes with your name if all possible and if you need to add a number that’s fine if the address is taken. Here are a few good examples on creating professional emails to search for jobs, careers or employment.
FeliciaSmith@, FeliciaSmith24@, FeliciaSJobSearch@, FeliciaReneedSmith@
Please make your email addresses more professional to get your foot in the door for at least an interview to land your next career.
